Derek Rope is a Saskatoon-based entrepreneur, father, and member of the Pasqua First Nation. He is the founder and CEO of Element Connect, a software company that provides First Nation software solutions. Derek's expertise in technology and software development has allowed him to create innovative solutions that address the unique challenges faced by First Nations communities.
In addition to his work with Element Connect, Derek is also passionate about sports and youth mentorship. He has played a pivotal role in founding Saskatchewan Aboriginal Track and Field, a non-profit organization committed to creating accessible and sustainable sports and mentorship opportunities for Indigenous youth in the province. Derek's entrepreneurial spirit, technological expertise, and commitment to community development have made him a highly respected figure in both the business and Indigenous communities.
